My wife booked the restaurant for a birthday meal. It was quiet when we arrived, service was very good. This was one of our best steak meals in Glasgow, steaks cooked to perfection, waitress' recommendations were amazing from choice of wine to sides. Staff very friendly. The only downfall was we were too full to eat all of the dessert. Highly recommend. Previous posts have mentioned it being too cold but the restaurant probably can't do too much much about this considering you are in merchant square! Can't wait to go back.

Brilliant food, brilliant service. I thought it was a normal restaurant at the first glance on the menu, but it was totally beyond expectation when the dishes served. Food were very well prepared. The price was quite acceptable if you are seeking for a weekend dinner.

Excellent food. The burger is fantastic. A tower freshly made with crispy fries. I really enjoyed my lunch. This was one of my top 10 burgers of all times. The salmon was just as amazing. Cooked to perfection, the flavours were amazing. Our server was great, bringing us water without being asked and did not try to push unwanted drinks upon us, which was appreciated. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

Happy we made the plan to come here. This is a relaxing dining experience. They were out of some of the seafood we had hoped for, but the "market" menu of three courses was excellent anyway. Mussels, steak frites and lamb were all delicious as was the sticky toffee pudding. Service was good, maybe a bit slow on dessert and the bill but overall a nice dinner within. 2 hour window.

Went for lunch with the wife and baby, really pleasantly surprised. 21 for 3 courses. Food all packed full of flavour, fig jam was an absolute delight. Steak cooked to perfection for me. Wife agreed, though found her dessert a little dry. Perfectly attentive service to cap the experience. Both left thinking we'll have to revisit, great addition to merchant city.

Fantastic evening!!! Mitch and his team made our evening so perfect. We went here based on the reviews and the menu and I can’t say enough good things about this place: we booked a table for a family of 6 for my daughter’s 18th birthday; we wanted somewhere that felt special, but also with a lovely relaxed vibe and Table Twenty-Eight was the answer! Great menu for all tastes and appetites, great cocktails, great service and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed my birthday meal here. Staff were friendly & the food was really tasty. I do have to say I found the scallops really recently priced for the portion size. Steak was cooked perfectly, probably one of the best fillet steaks i’ve had for a while. Cocktails were good too. Free birthday shots for the table for my birthday, thank you! Only thing was it was quite a wait for the food, but to be honest I still had a nice time. Can be a bit cold as the restaurant opens into merchant square. 10/10 - will be back!

Short and sweet, the best octopus I’ve ever had, also recommend the buratta and spinach dish (be warned lots of garlic). Some cracking food with unique flavours, great find, definitely be back soon
